NAPABA Suit and Accessory Drive
for the benefit of Dress for Success and Clothes The Deal



On Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20, 2010, NAPABA will be hosting a suit and accessory drive to benefit Dress for Success and Clothes the Deal.

Dress for Success is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them with professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success has been providing clothing, confidence and career boosts to more than 500,000 women since 1997.

Clothes The Deal provides business clothing and accessories and job preparedness workshops to low income men and women re-entering the workforce throughout Los Angeles County and surrounding areas. In a year, Clothes the Deal distributes 15,000 pieces of business clothing to over 6,000 job seekers and collaborate with 80 social services agencies in the Los Angeles County and surrounding areas.

So, gather up your items and bring them with you to the convention, and help give someone a head start in their attempts to get back on their feet. It's just a small walk from your suitcase to the donation bin.

We will accept new or gently used suits and accessories that are appropriate for the workplace. Accessories include: scarves, necklaces, earrings, purses, belts, wallets, shoes and computer bags. If your donations are appropriate for the workplace and you would feel comfortable wearing or using your donated item to an interview, we'll take it! Cash donations will also be accepted. All donations are tax-deductible.
